Wine name: Winemaker’s Reserve Selection. Producer: Pfeiffer Enterprises, 1 Starvich Road, Loxton, South Australia, 5333. Vintage: NV. Appearance deep purple, thick & viscous on the glass with blackberries, black cherries aromatics. The attack is quite soft and smooth and light yet a little creamy. Evolution: Juicy, lots of blackberries with a finish which is blackberries. Sweetness: 0. Acidity: 2. Tannin: 0.5 with a texture which is rough buffered water and the length is very good. As for balance, it's nicely balanced but much lighter than i was expecting from these grape varieties. The wine has a screwcap closure and is 12.5% abv. Overall, this wine is: Nice if a little uninteresting. Smooth, drinkable, but a little dull. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 79 points.
