Red #Beaujolais #wine from France: 2011 : http://tinyurl.com/3qjhotd

Wine name: Le Chat Rouge. Producer: Signe Vignerons, F69430, Quincie. Vintage: 2011. Appearance purpley red, medium-thick yet receding on glass with quite dry with blackcurrant skins aromatics. The attack is dry juicy. Evolution: More blackcurrants and a touch of liquorice with a finish which is blackcurrants in nose, blackcurrants and black cherries on swallow. Sweetness: 0. Acidity: 3.5. Tannin: 0 with a texture which is buffered rough water and the length is quite subtle. As for balance, it's not bad, a little lacking in body. The wine has a synthetic closure and is 12.5% abv. Overall, this wine is: Nice, but not as good as the Georges Duboeuf ones I've had from 2011. Nice to try something different though. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 79 points.
