Wine name: Veredus. Producer: JeanJean Saint-Felix de Lodex, Herault. Vintage: 2009. Purchased from carrefour. Appearance deep purple, thick and smooth on the glass with ribena, cherries, nicely fruity yet quite soft aromatics. The attack is juicy and firm with good acidity. Evolution: Very juicy with flavours of blackcurrant juice and a touch of forest floor with a finish which is black cherries and blackcurrants on swallow, black cherries in nose. Sweetness: 0. Acidity: 2.5. Tannin: 4 with a texture which is rough and the length is excellent. As for balance, it's good balance as the body balances out the slight harshness. The wine has a cork closure and is 13.5% abv. Overall, this wine is: A lovely rustic wine, which struggled a bit against a curry but afterwards it's drinking very well. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 82 points.
