Wine name: Rosato. Producer: De Angelis S.N.C., Sorrento. Vintage: 2010. Purchased from wine shop in sorrento (sedil dominova). Appearance quite deep, slightly orangey red with candy, pomegranate, grenadine aromatics. The attack is juicy and like opal fruits. Evolution: Redcurrants, cranberries, oranges with a finish which is orange in nose, strawberries on swallow. Sweetness: 1. Acidity: 3. Tannin: 0.5 with a texture which is smooth and juicy and the length is excellent. As for balance, it's lovely balance for a rosé, with flavours of strawberries and oranges really balancing out the natural rosé bitterness. The wine has a cork closure and is 13% abv. Overall, this wine is: Lovely, quite easy to drink without being boring, and unusually intense for a rosé. Buy again!. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 86 points.
