White #Cava #wine from Spain: NV : http://tinyurl.com/3qjhotd

Wine name: Cava Brut. Producer: Castellblanch S.A., Sant Sadumi D’Anoia. Vintage: NV. Appearance lots of small quick bubbles, quite pale greeny-yellow with quite toasty with notes of sesame aromatics. The attack is very prickly and quite intense. Evolution: Lovely juicy intensity, green apples, citrus, star fruit, grapefruit with a finish which is apples in nose, lemon on swallow. Sweetness: 1.5. Acidity: 3. Tannin: 0 with a texture which is prickly and quite dense, yet not foamy and the length is excellent. As for balance, it's the acidity and fizz really sets off the sweetness nicely. The wine has a cork closure and is 11.5% abv. Overall, this wine is: Very tasty, and much better than I expected for a Cava, very nice. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 86 points.
