| Wine name: La Ronce. Producer: Baele & Fils, Domaine du Ry D'Argent, Rue de la distillerie, 51, B-5081 Bovesse. Vintage: 2009. Purchased from vineyard. Appearance deep purple, quite thin yet smooth on the glass with black cherries and blackcurrants aromatics. The attack is quite dry yet smooth and fruity. Evolution: Black cherries, steel, bark with a finish which is bark on the swallow, black cherries in the nose. Sweetness: 0. Acidity: 3. Tannin: 0.5 with a texture which is buffered water and the length is very good. As for balance, it's quite metallic but nice and chewy. The wine has a cork closure and is 12% abv. Overall, this wine is: Went well with a Mexican, this is quite rustic and rough around the edges but very satisfying. Incredibly sedimenty!. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 82 points. |
