| Wine name: Bianco. Producer: De Angelis S.N.C., Sorrento. Vintage: 2010. Purchased from wine shop in sorrento (sedil dominova). Appearance slightly dark pastille yellow, thin and receding on the glass. with not-very-refreshing fruit, with a nice density and flavours of concentrated star fruit aromatics. The attack is lemon oil and a touch of light maple syrup. Evolution: More citrus oil, minerals, vanilla with a finish which is a slight bitterness on the swallow and fruit in the nose. Sweetness: 1. Acidity: 3.5. Tannin: 0 with a texture which is oily and the length is . As for balance, it's nicely balanced. quite concentrated, approaching a new world style, but not quite. The wine has a cork closure and is 13% abv. Overall, this wine is: This is a very nice wine! Stood up well to a quite spicy ratatouille. Interesting flavours and a softness despite its concentration and high-ish acidity. One to buy again!. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 91 points. |
