Red #Sud-Ouest #wine from France: 2003 : http://tinyurl.com/3qjhotd

Wine name: Les Hauts de Bergelle. Producer: Producteurs Plaimont, 32400 Saint-Mont. Vintage: 2003. Purchased from wine merchant in luz-saint-sauveur. Appearance thick & viscous on the glass, dark browny purple with red fruits, charcoal, forest floor aromatics. The attack is very juicy with strawberries and raspberries in a very concentrated, cordial-like way. Evolution: Dried strawberries, Ribena, wood with a finish which is quite sharp on the swallow yet more mellow in the nose. Sweetness: 0. Acidity: 3.5. Tannin: 0.5 with a texture which is fruit juicy water and the length is excellent. As for balance, it's quite sharp and a little light. The wine has a cork closure and is 13% abv. Overall, this wine is: Quite nice, very juicy, went well with food but not an “alone” wine. My score (which is NOT the same as Robert Parker's!) is 82 points.
